About this site

This site ranks YouTube videos so you do not have to gamble on a thumbnail. It hosts nothing, replaces nothing, and every recommendation links straight to the creator.

Why it exists

YouTube's search is optimised for engagement, not instruction. The video that ranks first for a repair or a concept is the one that gets clicked and watched — not necessarily the one that teaches the task correctly, or completely, or safely. There is no shortage of tutorials; there is a shortage of any way to tell which one is right before you have spent ten minutes finding out.

So each guide reads the candidates and says which to watch, in what order, and where the popular answer is wrong.

How it is made — plainly

Data collection and synthesis are automated: we pull metadata and comments through YouTube's official API, retrieve transcripts, and generate the comparison from that evidence. An automated quality gate rejects work that is thin, unfounded or that would substitute for watching. A human reviews before publication.

We say this openly because you would find out anyway, and because the method is the argument: the pages are worth reading precisely because they are built from what the videos actually say, at scale no human reviewer could match.

What we do not do

Creators

If your video is ranked here, the page links to it and sends people to watch it. If something is wrong, or your video has changed since we analysed it, get in touch and we will re-run it. See how we rank for what a flag means and how to have one reviewed.
